How were everyone's Thanksgiving weekends?

Anything exciting or unexpected happen?

Re: How were everyone's Thanksgiving weekends?

  • Nothing exciting. Ate too much, napped, online shopped.

  • It was a nice rest. Although, most of the time I was dealing with a sick toddler. She seems to be feeling better today, though.

We went to my sister's and her MIL made chicken instead of turkey. Who makes chicken on Thanksgiving?

    Hmm

My Mom made chicken last Thanksgiving. She didn't make that mistake twice, there was turkey this year.

  • mine was good.  Not quite as restful as I wanted it to be, with the ILs in town and all.  But not bad.  Smoking the bird went absolutely fantastic on Thursday.  I think we'll be smoking our turkeys for the rest of our lives.

  • Nothing too exciting on my end, had some friends over, put the decorations up and relaxed

It wasn't even like a whole chicken, or chicken breasts. It was this weird chicken roll thing with mango chutney inside.

Actually, it was this thing, from Omaha Steaks - Mango Chicken Roulade:

Don't buy it. It was not good.

  • Mine was pretty good. Thursday we went to my parents and it was just us cuz my brother was sick. We had waaaay too much food. Friday I had a 30 rock marathon. Sat. I met some friends, and then met up with some other friends Sunday for brunch. We then did some prep for DH, who is taking his college placement tests today.

    It sounds disgusting.

  • Weekend was good.  Very fun, lots of food, although not really restful.  I did treat myself to a massage on Wednesday, that was a highlight.  Also, Saturday and Sunday the weather was just unbelievable.  Long walks on the Cape Cod beach in November?  Yes please!!!

  • SO GLAD it's over. I enjoyed spending time with my family, but I worked some ridiculous hours at work and felt like I was going to collapse. I finally had off today and slept in until 10:30.

I worked from 6pm to 3:30am Wednesday into Thursday, Friday was 4am to 12noon, Saturday was 7am to 3:30pm, and yesterday was 6am to 2:30pm.

Thank GOD Black Friday only comes once a year...

  • Nothing too exciting -- ate dinner with Chris' family on Thursday, went to Kohls at 1am.  Worked 9-5pm Friday then went to Chris' very lame 10-year reunion, had my friend's baby shower Saturday, Sunday met with a few friends for brunch, and then yesterday while Chris was home sick I was out and about getting Sam's holiday cards done.  And now here I am, back at work.  Hooray!
