FB Vent

I have a friend on FB that I went to HS with and she and her H  have a little boy who is almost a year. She always takes pics of him in his carseat on the way to appointments and such without clothes on.  ALWAYS. I know that he has clothes, ect. I think the thing that bugs me is that with as cold as what it has been that he should have clothes on. Its cool if your baby is naked at home but when you go out you should put clothes on him!

/end vet

Also I might DD this later, I'm not sure if she lurks.

  • Babies and toddlers who don't wear clothes in public annoys me also. My trashy SIL and brother do that with their baby. :-/

  • Maybe she takes his shirt off in the car so if he spills his drink/food he still has clean clothes when he gets to his appointment??  Yeah, that's weak but it's all I could come up with.

Its a good try. I don't think that's why though. I think its just she thinks its cute but its not. This is also the girl who's baby sleeps in a pack and play and not a crib.

  • The last time I vented about this, about a week later DD ended up spilling smoothie, freaking out, and was the naked kid for about an hour before I could buy her more clothes since we weren't at home.  But I really hate this too.  I try to remind myself when I see strangers doing this that there might be a reason... however, people that do it all the time tick me off.  Put clothes on your kid.

Agreed.  I'll go a step further and say that I think it's trashy when you don't have your kid dressed 90% of the time.  My cousin's baby mama has 3 kids (2 in add't to my cousin's son) and those kids are always in their diapers or undies including my cousin's son who is almost 4!  I understand kids getting dirty and accidents happen but that's not her case...she's just lazy and avoiding doing laundry.

Ya, I think that's strange.  I have WAY too many cute clothes to get on their bodies before they outgrow them :)

As for the pack n play comment, my babies slept in a pack n play in our room (when they weren't co-sleeping) until they were like 4-5 months old.  I don't see a problem here.  At all.  Sorry.

I can't explain children in public without clothes on.  At home, go on with yo' bad nekked self.  I understand it can be hard to keep toddlers dressed, but it's important to teach kids societal standards.

As far as the crib, if we didn't have dogs, I don't think I'd bother with cribs.  Lots of APers don't use cribs.  Many cultures don't use cribs.  I consider cribs like baby jails, but they'll be necessary so Wilson doesn't smother my offspring with cuddles while I'm in the shower.

    Twin boys due 7/25/12
