XP: Nursery Progress - WDYT?
Re: XP: Nursery Progress - WDYT?
Probably not much. We're stumped on how to add some storage for books/toys because we just don't have a lot of space in the room. Might add a couple shelves to the wall to the left of the crib (which you can't see in the pictures).
The shelves sound like a good idea, or you could try one of those cloth book hangy things (very scientific name I know) that a few ladies on the board have made. I know heatherkj made one, and I think someone recently did too, maybe katiek? They are really cute and seem pretty functional.
I have seen the book sling type thing and really liked it. Do you think it'd be odd to put it under the window? I'd like to have something that she'll be able to access once she's moving around, but wasn't sure if that'd be too low to the ground.
I think that would be a great place to put it. I actually think they look better when they are low - and as you said, easy for the kiddies to use. And you could make it from a fabric that compliments and ties in with the rest of the nursery, for a little more personalization. Keep us posted on what you do!
I think it was Casperdy that recently did the book sling.
I love how the room looks...very cute but not excessively girly. And the quotes are adorable!
Thanks, ladies! I was worried about the lavender with yellow because I hadn't seen that combo much during my internet searches for inspiration. I was banking on the fact that since they're opposite each other on the color wheel, they'd compliment each other (though I know nothing about color theory/interior design).
We're pretty happy with it and it doesn't sound like people think it's hideous, so that's a relief!
