Re: Real Simple Cookie Recipes....GTG ideas?

  • This does raise the question . . . what actually constitutes a "cookie"? Some of the recipes I'm looking at aren't the traditional round/bar cookie.

if you bring several dozen of a dessert/baked item, i don't think the cookie police will arrest you. i however do defer to cookie foundress chchch chia.

  • Cookies, candies, and confections of all sort can be included in the exchange.  In fact, some of these may be preferred over the traditional "cookie" - since they can look very nice and pretty on a cookie plate.

In fact, some of the perennial favorites have not been "cookies," per se.  For example - DCtoLow's english toffee, bh's rum balls, livinginsanity's mint bars, and others I can't think of offhand.

If you do bring a candy or brittle, please try to package it in a cute little baggie or something like that - to make it more easily "split-able."

  • Do we know yet how many folks are participating?  Is it a dozen per person?
  • I will gladly accept candy instead of a cookie :) yum yum yum

Habs...will get a count today...and not a dozen per person...more like three or four cookies per person.
