I wanted to let you all know to check with your insurance companies. I had my pediatrician write a script for our formula and we submitted it to my prescription company and I am now paying a small copay for a 3 month supply of formula which is coming to us via UPS. I had dr write it for ready to feed but my insurance would only send concentrate however I do know others who are receiveing the ready to feed. Just thought I would let you all know on the little secret that insurance wont tell you.

Re: formula and insurance
ME!!! I have FDNY Union prescription: CVS Caremark!
I get Similac Sensitive Gas & Fusiness RTF 32oz jugs just like what they sell in stores.
I pick mine up at RITE AID locally, because they "didn't have it in warehouse" it takes 5 days to fill and I picked up 30 jugs on Friday. Our new doc just wrote a script for 3 months supply each time to order mid month. WOOHOO
I paid 53$ copay which is $1.80 a bottle AND RiteAid said to bring checks next time to pay with from similac:)
Wait til he is drinking a lot more than that! It will go up!! Good Luck!!
I was going through way more than that befor ei found out about the insurance thing......now my son is eating so much and drinking!
I pay 25.00 for a 3 month supply of similac sensative so I am so happy now!

thats good to know! sometimes its 2 cases a week depending.. A is taking 6oz every 5 hours. we have a dr brown pitcher that we premake formula for the day! we think we weighs close to 12lbs. hes a big boy. at least he's gaining weight!
Ha! I wish we could pay that. C is on EleCare until he's 2 because of dairy and soy allergies. He wasn't able totolerate Nutramigen or Alimentum. We have to go through a medical supply company and pay 15%. We pay $335/month for formula since he was switched to EleCare Jr and that's with him eating 3 good meals/day plus snacks.
If only there was a way Mellie- EleCare is 8$ copay through mine according to website which means like 53 like I paid for similac
