where do you get your (real) christmas tree?

I'm looking for recommendations for tree farms - we usually go to the one just outside Polk City on 415 (for some reason I can't think of the name right now), but might want to go to a new place this year.

  • We went here last year to cut down our own

  • We went to Kidman's, I think that's who you're thinking of. We really like it. They have a gift shop and rides on their 'carridge' with the Clydesdale. We went there today, you can see my pics on FB!

  • We've gone to Strautman (http://www.strautmantrees.com/). It's huge and very established.

There's another one near Bondurant, I think it's called Rettig. It's newer and has a decent selection, but the owners are kind of kooky.

I like Kidman the best. It's just easy.

Happy mom to two sweet, silly boys: Cohen age 4, AJ age 2.
  • I go to Howell Tree Farm.  It's family owned for over 100 years.  We love it- you can tag your tree now with your name and come back and cut it down yourself or have them do it when you're ready.  They have wreaths and etc for sale too.  It's off the Cumming/Norwalk Exit just south on I 35.
