::snoopy:: re ornament

Well that didn't work out. I tried using a recipe I found online of a craft dough that basically consists of white bread and white glue, but 1. It took longer than I thought to make it, and 2. It was a bit too stiff. I couldn't get a good hand imprint, especially since it was pretty hard to get a squirmy baby to hold his hand open long enough to do it. I also kinda wish I had done it when he was a newborn. Turns out his hand is quite  big now.

Im going to try to pick up some softer modeling clay today or tomorrow and try again... and also do it while V is around so he can entertain baby while I set things up.

Re: ::snoopy:: re ornament

  • Excellent advice. I might look into the kid's playdough recipe and just bake it in the oven. I'll let you know how it goes. Tonight my goal is to dress him in a diaper and santa hat and do christmas pics. My worry is the santa hat is mine, so it's super big. I don't want to buy a baby one.

  • Ringy I used to use this when I was sculpting. It's called paper clay. I think you would get the same results without the mess.

  • sorry for butting in...

    I think snoopy already mentioned in another thread about doing paint on a globe ornament, but I came across this on pinterest and thought it was cute (and pretty!)... granted the bokeh def adds some nice sparkle (pun intended).
