I met 3 guys on OKC - #1 - married (I found out after 3 dates!) #2 - lying liar, cheater, girlfriend beater #3 - seriously I feared for my safety at one point and thought I was going to be date raped.
Think I am done with OKC, signed up for match today. Surprised at how little overlap there is... hopefully this group of guys will be better. Wish me luck. You just gotta get back on the horse I guess.
Re: okcupid - FAIL
I browsed OKC but I just didn't really like it enough to take it seriously enough to meet anyone.
Match was the best site I tried although I did have a lot of duds. Hopefully you have some better luck.
One would think that paying for a site would give better quality of men, but no. One of the guys I met on match? Had been in prison for rape.
Current BF? OKCupid.
Even creepy guys will pay if they think it'll get them laid.
Both match and OKC have been fails for me. I went out with a couple people from match, but never felt like I clicked with anyone. Out of 4 or 5 guys, I only went out with one guy a second time.
Since I didn't have success on match I decided that I'm not paying for another membership, so I tried OKC. Fail again! Wtf....why do guys think that sending me emails such as....you're a milf...I'd be your slave....and I liked your answers to the sex questions....would actually get responses from me? Seriously, what's up with these dudes?!
That's why you get to know people before you marry them, and hopefully you have learned a lot from your experiences, and other women on this board, to keep yourself from marrying a cheating abusive meth head who tries to kill people.
I honestly think it is a regional thing. Some areas Match is more popular and others eharmony... it is the luck of the draw. You just have to be as safe as possible and always watch out for red flags.
