What do we think of the name
Margaret?
I personally don't love it.
It's a huge family name on both my side and DH's side.
But I love/adore/swoon over the nickname Maggie.

Re: Random Baby Name Chatter
I actually like Margaret. I think Maggie and Maisie are both adorable nn's.
It was DH's grandmother's name who recently passed away. I would consider using it but SIL has "claimed" the name (yep, that's SIL who doesn't want kids... and claims that heads will roll if anyone uses the name-- me or any of the cousins. EYEROLL.)

Totally this! I have even thought of just using Maggie, without a formal name.
How about Marge? ;-)
I LOVE the NN Maggie. And, I'm kind of likin' Margaret too.

My real name is Margaret. Megan is a nn for it. It is a family name and if my grandmother who I am named after wasn't a royal *** and wrote me off, I would pass down the name with the nn Maggie.
