Book recommendations?

Hi ladies - I figured this board would have some good book recommendations about "Starting Over," so I figured I'd ask. Any good books you've read recently or while you were going through your divorce / annulment (either about relationships, dating again after your first marriage ends, finding yourself, etc)?

Post them here :) Thanks!

Re: Book recommendations?

  • My absolute favorite is Eat, Pray, Love. I know it is one that people either love or hate. Open House by Elizabeth Berg is also another good one. Jane Green's To Have and To Hold is a fun, chick lit, quick read.

FWIW, I don't know by your post if you were looking for fiction or more self-help. If my answers are way off base, feel free to ignore them haha!

  • I liked Jane Green Second Chance.
  • Yeah, more so along the lines of Eat Pray Love (LOVED that book) or any book that's uplifting / positive about starting over. Thanks!
  • I LOVED these two:

Not Your Mothers Divorce (more of a divorce manual for those in their 20'3/30's, no kids, etc.)

Falling Apart in One Piece by Stacey Morrison

    The Nestie formally known as....
  • love this thread.  an avid reader here.

Another Eat Pray Love fan here.  I also second Not Your Mother's Divorce.

I currently have Broken Open on library request to read next.  I'll have to check out the other recommendations above.
