eat pray love

So I read this book a few years ago & enjoyed it, but it was NBD to me.

I just picked it off my bookshelf yesterday & started re-reading.  Now that I'm going through a divorce, I'm finding this book to be SUCH an inspiration!

Just wanted to share that.  :)

Re: eat pray love

  • Weird you post this, I'm watching the movie right now. :)

  • I read the book when I first started going thru my divorce and really enjoyed it.  I actually just "reread" it on audiobook a couple weeks ago, and now that I'm through the worst part of the divorce it gave me a totally different perspective.
  • Hm, maybe I should try to re-read this book. I did not like it at all the first time I read it. And, I fell asleep watching the movie. I'm interested to see if I would enjoy it more or connect to the story after going through divorce!
  • Having the divorce completely done - I very much enjoy the movie, I haven't read the book yet. I will admit this time I did fall asleep during it but it wasn't because I don't like it ... I shouldn't lay down and watch movies ever. haha

  • I started it a year or two before I started thinking about leaving my marriage and I hated it. Once I started having those feelings, I picked it back up and it made so much more sense to me and I really related to it. I really didn't care for the movie though.
  • I was never interested in reading the book or watching the movie, but a friend recommended I read it when I was first thinking about divorce. I loved it and could really relate to it. Especially the parts at the very beginning of the book. I don't think I would have loved or appreciated the book at all before my marriage started going downhill.
