Did you watch the Kardashian's?
Yes, I know, I should not encourage the watching of such smut but I couldn't help myself!
I think it was pretty obvious prior to the wedding that Kris Humphries is a huge douche bag. Is Kim Kardashian high maintenance? Yes. Has she earned the right to be? Probably. Was he a little naive to think she would be different than that? Yes. Does he say the rudest.things.ever? Yes.
I don't think he was portrayed as being a villian.
Also, Kourtney and Scott need to call it quits already.
Anyone else?
Re: Did you watch the Kardashian's?
You can't say she hasn't worked hard. It isn't like she has expensive taste and a beer budget. She has done everything on her own - she isn't living off of anyone else.
She was actually a quite well known stylist (which most people don't know but I do read a lot of fashion magazines!). She used that to start her store and money from the store (and her dad's last name) to get the opportunity to buy one of a kind pieces that she sold on ebay for $$$$ (read the book Bringing home the Birkin - people did this a lot in the early 2000s). Pretty much anything she touches now turns to gold. She only made $1mm off the s.e.x. tape and that was nothing compared to her net worth even at that time.
Fair enough. I always have a tough time buying that any of the socialite Hollywood types really worked hard for anything (and I'm still not sure this qualifies), but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.
I'm fine with her being wealthy (for whatever reason), but I have a problem with the idea that being wealthy justifies someone's poor behavior. It seems, more often than not, that saying someone is "high maintenance" is a nice way of saying something much more honest.
As far as the marriage stuff, I haven't followed the story at all. Just felt like arguing, I guess.
