Do you live anywhere near Fort Dix?  A friend/coworker will be moving there next summer (from Seattle).

Re: **Gina

  • Yes!  I live 4 miles away,..straight up the road!  I go there all the time with my sister (ex-Marine/Marine wife) and my in-laws (both retired military) to go food shopping in the commissary.  And I'd say about half the people who live in my neighborhood are military at Fort Dix.  They live here in off base housing.  Let me know if they have any questions about the area.  Wouldn't it be funny if they wound up living in my neighborhood!  And you could come visit!! :)

  • Nice!  I'll let her know that you live close...and then, if you don't mind, I'll bet she's got lots of questions she'd love for you to answer.  :)  Right now, I think she's just feeling super overwhelmed at the prospect of moving across the country to a place she's never even seen before.  Her H is Coast Guard.  I think she's also nervous about moving her 3 girls to a new place.  I think her youngest is actually just about Andrew's age.

  • No problem!  You can give her my email address or have her fb message me.  I would love to answer any questions she has.  I can't imagine how overwhelmed she must be feeling and how many questions she must have.  I can tell her where all the local places are that she may be looking for, give her recommendations for Drs., etc.  And that's great that her youngest is around Andrew's age.  He's always looking for more friends :)

  • Thanks, Gina!  I sent you a FB message with her email address, and I'll pass yours on to her, too.  :)
