Catholics - help me

Sorry if I sound naive but I really need help on this one...

My daughters daycare teachers are Catholic nuns.   I want to buy them a Christmas present.   Any suggestions?

TIA!

Re: Catholics - help me

  • Not sure if you are into gift cards but I know the nun at my church goes to a cafe that is close by almost every weekend for breakfast.
  • I would keep the gift minimal and maybe something homemade from your LO? My mom always had little gifts she'd picked up at craft fairs.

  • Depending on their living situations (my aunt, a nun, lives in a very simple room on campus) they just have no space for 'stuff' so you are right on track with useful gift cards (Target, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, etc.)  or if they are all at one place, something for their home or Mother House.

eta: and yes, Christmas ornaments, esp if personalized, are perfect!!

  • Thanks guys!  These women are wonderful to my kids so I just want it to be perfect :)
  • They are such special women! They would even be happy with a donation to whatever school/church/parish/non-profit they are affiliated with. Most, if not all took vows of poverty and would share whatever they were given with others. But I think a personalized Christmas Ornament would be perfect. One of my old teachers used to tutor my little brother at the Mother House (I went to school at Marian) and she would always make crochetted wash clothes and things like that for them.

    Have fun!
