How's it going?
I'm 8dpo but definitely not holding my breath this cycle. Our timing wasn't the greatest because our schedules are different. I have some slight symptoms that could go either way (pg or af). After charting the last 2 months and using a opk last month, I found out I usually O on cd16, so that's handy information to know!

Re: TTC ladies...
We're t-32 days.
I'm up 5lbs pre-Thanksgiving this month, which is pissing me off and making my pants v. tight today. I don't even want to step onto a scale. I've also been having atrocious hot flashes. 1 more month of meds from hell.
In other news my Dr is pretty sure based on my temps that the meds won't wear off on their own so they're going to have to give me Clomid (monitored of course) to kick start ovulation.
Stand up for something you believe in.
Lots of positive TTC vibes your way!
Aww. Thanks!
I'm sorry you've had to go through so much to get to the point of TTC. Hopefully, it will all be worth it soon!
That has to be so frustrating. I don't know what that medication is, but I sure hope it helps!
It's similiar to Clomid but my doctor likes to use that brand when you have PCOS
Thanks for explaining!
I'm waiting for my darn period. I have discovered that if I stare at the pregnancy test long enough, I can make lines appear, which does nothing to help me chill out. My boobs hurt, which has never happened except when I've been pregnant, but I've been spotting for a week so I'm not really thinking anything good will come from this cycle.
And I have to decide if I want to start temping again or not. I took this cycle off at the RE's suggestion, but I don't like that I don't know when I ovulated or exactly when to expect my period. It's annoying to not know what's going on, although it is nice not to have to set an alarm every morning. I am really torn on what to do.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
Are any of the TTC ladies interested in some Amazon cheapie OPK & PG tests?
I have a bunch leftover that will expire before we even consider TTC again. If any of you are interested, they are yours free! Just let me know.
ETA: I'm not 100% sure how many are left, but if anyone is interested I'll count them and let you know.
Sending out positive vibes to the TTC ladies.
On the adoption front:
I had sent an e-mail about our interest to the Asst. Commissioner of DCF a month ago (required b/c I am an employee.) I sent a follow-up e-mail yesterday.
We are going to sell our 2nd bedroom set soon, possibly after my birthday in case we get someone who needs to crash. That will be the "kiddo" room. A couple friends have given me some baby items. I may peruse some consignment shops for baby gates, etc. Like someone TTC or in the early stages of pregnancy, I don't want to jinx myself or invest too much emotionally. However, one of the adoption SW's I spoke with said it is good to have some things such as safety gates for the inspection and so they know you are serious.
I also have scheduled a Dr. appt. for DH because we need to have had one within the year.
Thanks for posting, Kel.
I'm on CD6. AF visited on Thansgiving. Was a bit bummed because it was our first cycle temping and it looked like we had good timing, but oh well. We are only going into our 5th cycle, so I know I have to be patient. My last two cycles are long, about 45 days, so that is a bit annoying. But I like temping, it helps my Type A personality and it is cool to see what my body is doing.
I've never had success with OPK's though, and that is frustrating. I need to get better at monitoring CM, and will try OPK's again this cycle.
Sending lots of good vibes to you ladies who have been waiting much longer than I for your BFP! And Mel, good luck with the adoption stuff, I can't wait to hear the updates as you go along.
I'll take them Michelle, we aren't trying right now, but soon and I am not on any BC so it would be nice to track my O with the opk's like I did the first time.
Agreed with all of the above, especially the adoption info- I'm so excited to see the families here growing in all sorts of ways!
Stand up for something you believe in.
Kelly asked for them this morning. She said that if she ends up not using them that she will send them to you
Thanks!!
I don't have any OPKs but I do have a bunch of Wondfo PG test strips if any one wants it (heyxu9 at gmail dot com).
I also want to say best of luck to everyone TTC. Despite being diagnosed with PCOS, I was lucky to have an easy time but I know that it's rare to be so lucky. Anyways, I just wanted to wish you all well.
