Us too - we can't wait to move out of this 1970s duplex, with its coordinating appliances. I think I'm down to 2 stove burners now. I won't be getting this for Christmas, though. But we're still saving and getting closer, so don't feel too sorry for me. I just have to be patient.
Plans for today?
Put up the tree, write the Christmas letter with the husband.

I don't really have one, I bring my lunch just about every day.
Do you put up a Christmas tree? What does it look like? I don't think we're doing a tree this year. I'm probably just putting a wreath on the door and stockings. Tree is staying up in the attic!
Food you'll miss from Thanksgiving? My cousin's cherry pie. OMG, I could eat it three times a day.
What are you really hoping you get for Christmas? A new house! Although, this is most likely to be delayed until Jan/Feb.
Plans for today? We just told our out of town friends goodbye (stayed over last night after get together). DH is studying for his boards and watching the OU game on tv. I may go shopping during the game in Norman.
What's for dinner? We have a cocktail party tonight for DH's graduation from PA school, and I *think* dinner is being served. We'll see. Either way, I'll probably have a nice snack about 5 p.m.

Plans for today? Watch the beginning of the OU game, go to another Thanksgiving meal, and then girls night tonight.

My tree never has a theme. It's just a mixture of bulbs and ornaments that I think are pretty. This is actually a pic from last year, but I decorated it exactly the same this year.

What are you really hoping you get for Christmas? I gave my mom a list a really long time ago, and I don't really remember everything. At this point, I'm happy with the abstract "nothing going wrong with our house for awhile" concept...
Plans for today? Friendsgiving with an Italian feast -- tuscan lemon chicken, gnocchi with beef ragu, roasted asparagus, green salad, a cheesecake and tiramisu, and a bruschetta bar. And no, I luckily did not make all of this lol. I made the chicken, the ragu, and the bruschetta. Drinking, playing games, eating....good times.

Will your kid(s)/hypothetical children get their photo done with Santa? Like the one at the mall? I dunno...it seems like such a hassle and kids are always so scared! We never did mall Santas but there was a Santa at my mom's work party or something and we would do pictures with him, so maybe I would do something like that with my child -- less stressful.
Favorite lunch spot right now? Anywhere besides the school cafeteria! I'd love to get back to Tucker's.
Do you put up a Christmas tree? What does it look like? (PIP for extra points) Yes. We bought a ~7 foot tall artificial tree last year. We put colored lights with small bulbs on it, then random ornaments we've gotten from our parents or been given over the years.

What are you really hoping you get for Christmas? I don't have much on my list this year. Not to be a Scrooge, but I'd be perfectly happy not exchanging gifts.
Plans for today? Flew home from vacation mid-afternoon, unpacked, and collapsed on the couch

The ornaments are mostly red, green, and brown with a few random ones thrown in.

Plans for today? We did some final shopping in Plano and drove back to Oklahoma. Probably should be going to bed now...

A photographer we use does a Santa thing every year where if you donate items for a food/clothing drive they do, you get pictures for free - but this year, it lands on DS' birthday, so not sure we'll be able to make it. We'll probably wind up doing Santa pics with someone local.
Favorite lunch spot right now? Hideaway. But, I'm going to try this new restaurant in Stillwater that just opened, and that may become my new fave spot.Food you'll miss from Thanksgiving? I made a blackberry-apple pie with white cheddar crust that turned out to be amazing. I could go for a slice of that right now.

Plans for today? Well, it's 9:30... I need to finish some laundry and finish up a little writing for work.
What's for dinner? We had a late lunch at Asian Eternity ... it's a new(ish) Chinese buffet over on May Ave. It's decent, as buffets go. Only about a 7 on the depression scale.

Favorite lunch spot right now? Let's see... I work downtown, aka Land of the Crappy Lunch Spots?, so I'm not sure. I'd have to say Jimmy John's, hands down, but I usually just get it delivered. I really miss lunches at UpperCrust, Saturn Grill, Brown Bag Deli and Tokyo Sushi.
