I just filled up the car at Woolies petrol and inside the shop they were now selling Ben and Jerrys pints! I didn't buy any because I had to run to the actual Woolies after but they did not have it in store. I am guessing that it may arrive in the stores since they were selling it at the petrol station. Hopefully?
I don't know if anyone else will be excited by this but it makes me happy!
Re: Aussie ladies
Yeah, I think I'm just going to stop reading threads/posts from you guys. I'm tired of learning about everything available to everyone else in Oz but me :-(
I also found out today that NSW has 7-11's!
It might come up there too!
You don't have 7-11 there? All the Mobil gas stations have now turned into 7-11 here. I'm not sure why though.
I doubt it. We only get what "they" decide we might want. So if you have 12 options on a product, we might only have four of those.
I might even end up down that way to buy my stove/oven. I want an oven that has a digital temp setting/ read out. While they do not sell them up here (well one oven had it, but it was a $3k oven), I truly believe it must be sold somewhere in OZ, as this form of "technology" has been around for a looong time, and not only on high end products. My 20 year old GE stove in the states has a digital temp setting!
Interesting, I didn't know all that.
Our oven is not digital. I can take a look for you next time I am in a store with ovens/appliances if you want.
That would be great if you could look. I am tired of having to guess where 185 C is located in that 1/4 inch between 170 and 200 on the dial numbers.
Haha, too true!
No worries, I will check it out and let you know!
To say nothing of the fact that the thermostat on your oven may be off. Mine is off by 15-20 degrees. I bought an oven thermometer -- a dual scale one so I can use my US cookbooks without converting.
LOL! H works pretty hard to keep me out of the big cities. He knows the chances of getting me back up here would not be good.
yummm I love ben & jerrys - we have a scoop shop here though so I'm all set - its so $$$ we don't go often though
exciting about the BigW too bluegirl - I LOVE that store!!
