Pack n Play

My mom wants to get us a pack n play. Our house is small and we have a crib. I was wondering about getting the smaller travel size pack n play for our room. Does anyone have the smaller one? Does it work well? Or is it just to too small??we also have a changing table (Top of dresser so wouldnt necessarily need one with a changing table either.It says the bassinet goes to 15 lbs but wonder once you drop it how far up it goes??

My concern with this is that the baby would outgrow it fast lenghtwise. Do you plan on going places to stay when the baby is older to where you would need it for th baby to sleep in? If so, then I would look for something bigger that you could use longer.

If your house is small, then you may not even have a need for having the baby in your room...if you want that though, then I would just buy a used cradle or something for your room since the baby won't be in it that long anyway, and then have your Mom buy a cheaper, bigger pack n play for the purpose of sleepovers at grandmas or whatever. That's the only time we have used our pack n play because our house was super small and we had no need/room for it.

I bought one of these for E from someone thinking it was a full size pack n play. It was really pointless for us because she outgrew it so fast. I would have much rather had a full size. We didn't end up using it at all because it was so small. We had a bassinet for her in our room for the first few months.

If you purpose is purely for sleeping, that may be different, but there's not much room for playing.

I would get a regular sized one.

We used ours a ton with DD, but we haven't used it much at all with DS. He does sleep in one at my parent's house though.

We have a mini convertible co-sleeper. It can be used as a bassinet and converts to a pack and play during the day. We have a small house too and our bedroom is really small, but this co-sleeper fits beautifully next to my side of the bed. It?s portable, so easy to take to my mom?s whenever I ask her to baby sit.

Same here. We got the smaller one as a gift and length-wise, C outgrew it quickly. We had used it in our bedroom for the first month before we transitioned to the crib and that was pretty much it. We ended up borrowing someone else's full-size for traveling.
