AW: Scotty McCreery and Turkey Cake (PIP)
I mentioned in some of the Thanksgiving threads that I was going to see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade in NYC with my fam so I wanted to report back. The parade was awesome--we had window seats in a restaurant on the second floor. The sidewalk in front of the restaurant was closed so all of the performers waved directly to our restaurant from the floats--including Scotty McCreery! There were like 10 women at the restaurant and we were all waving like mad and Scotty waved and smiled right at us! We were freaking out!
Also, I made a 3-D pumpkin pecan spice cake with cream cheese frosting in the shape of a turkey. It was awesome and the kids at the dinner named it Tatum:

PS I love that kitchen tile - it the outlet cover also tile?
He was decapitated and then sliced from top to bottom so that the icing holding it together in the middle was in each slice--yum!
Thanks! It's my parents kitchen and the outlet cover is tile too. The house is very country french so the turkey fit in with the colors and decor
