AW - down 42 pounds in 11 weeks

Yay.

I've gone from a 44C to a 41B, and lost 5 inches in my hips.  I feel so much better.  And still have a ton to go, but it feels nice to make a sizable dent.  My shoes are even big!

And in 15 or so pounds, I will be at the weight I was at high school graduation.  Crazy.

Re: AW - down 42 pounds in 11 weeks

  • Holy sh*t Gault, good work! Are you buying a bunch of new clothes?
  • How please tell me how!!!

  • Way to go, Gault!

    How is choir going?

I agree with everything that muddled said. You should listen to her. -ESDReturns
  • That is so awesome. You are my inspiration.
  • No new clothes yet except for a few new bras.  My mom is doing the same program as me, and I'll kind of have free reign of her closet when I go to MN for Christmas.  She started at about the same shirt size I am now.

Muddled, I LOVE choir.  We have our first concert this week, and I'm kind of nervous, but it will be so great to sing with a group in public again. And I think one of the TA's kind of likes me. lol.  Or is curious about the only staff member in a women's choir that is mostly composed of undergrad 20-year-olds.

I know I'm being a pw with the weight loss stuff, but the more I post, the more real it feels... it helps to keep me accountable.

  • That's so great! I'm sure your concert will go off without a hitch. It must feel really good to be back into something that you love after a hiatus.

I would love to hear more about this TA, too.

Hey, if you have something to be proud of, shout it from the rooftops! We're all on your side.

  • Yay! Great news!

How are you doing it? I need serious help. I could stand to loose about 70 or 80lbs. UGH!

  • Great job! I know it's hard, but once you can really see the results all the hard work becomes soooo worth it!
  • I'm doing a program called Medifast.  It's simple to follow, but really intense.  I did a ton of research and really had to get my head in the right place before I started it.

Thanks you guys, for the positive posts :)

  • Woohoo!  Gualt, that is awesome!  I'm so proud of you!

    So, is the TA bangable??

  • PW this shiit all day long. That is AWESOME Gault. You were sexy before, you've got to be killin it now!

Start a fund for your new wardrobe. Pennies, however you do it, you need to get some new gear once you reach your goal.

  • coming out of lurking to second Medifast. I lost over 75lbs in 4 months. If you can do it, and it's not that hard once you set your mind to it, and the weight melts off. My SIL just started and has already lost 16 pounds.

Congrats on the loss! I bet you look awesome!!!

  • The TA... he's aight.  lol. Honestly, I think I'm intriguing to him since I'm the different one in the choir, and he knows so little about me.  I'm mysteeeeerious.

Wow, good for you!  Yeah, it's been my lifesaver.  For me, it was a combo of being in the right mindset and finding something that satisfies me while being simple and taking my mind off the carb/sugar thing.

And thanks :) I might take some photos after I'm down 50.  Still have a long way to go, but I'm really proud of what I've done so far.

  • Congrats!!

That's so awesome! Ditto pp save up for a new wardrobe, new clothes will help the weight loss sink in even more. :)

Flirt away with the TA, it's always nice to feel wanted.

  • Congratulations Gault!!  That's awesome work!  I agree with everyone else, PW the good stuff all you want.
  • I seriously thought of doing this program when I move back home.  Don't want to do it now as H just makes a big stink about me 'spending money on another quick fix'.  I know I need to do something and I'd tried this one before - I just gotta get the right combination of foods I like.

    Seriously - WTG Gault!!!!

  • Awesome, congrats to you.  I am so jealous.

I have put on so much weight after having rotator cuff surgery, quitting smoking, being put on depo shots to try and control periods, and I have a torn meniscus in my knee so trying to even walk to lose weight is not easy.

I am willing to hear any pointers to try and lose weight.

Congrats again.... so happy for you.  Smile

  • Congrats on the weight loss gault!
  • You are amazing!! Great job, you must feel so awesome.

Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
  • Congrats! I am super jealous of you. I am somehow gaining weight, not losing it. And I don't think it's muscle mass. Ugh. What's your secret?

ETA: I saw the Medifast thing. I'm looking into it. That sounds like so much food in a day, but I guess it's probably not so much...I know we're supposed to eat six small meals a day, whereas I eat two large meals of unhealthy food a day (maybe THAT'S why I am gaining weight, huh?). I need to lose about 25 pounds.
