Oh, and I hung out with bird girl
It was actually really fun. She doesn't drink, but she drove me & both BILs around one night and we had a blast (Jeff chose to sleep through our adventure). She is totally down for busting a move with me and putting up with my drunken randomness. I have hung out with her in the past at family dinners (& did this time too) and she's pretty quiet. At the bar she's really fun though. Who knew?? Now I feel a little guilty for posting her bird statues. Not guilty enough to stop, but slightly guilty.

She's had other pets - pretty much all hamsters and birds b/c she's allergic to other animals. She was a bit obsessive over those too and her H asked her to stop getting hamsters b/c she'd cry so much when one passed away (an unfortunately they do all the time - short life spans). He thought she was getting too depressed since she lost a pet every 6 months or so so they got the birds.
She had two birds, one got ill like the first month & passed away so now she just has this one. Maybe that's why she's so attached?? I'm really not sure, but it's defintely WAY more than she was into the other pets.
We went to lunch one day and she skipped so she could stay home and play with the bird. Literally - she told us flat out that was her reason.
I'm not hating on pet love, believe me I'm madly in love with my pets, but she's the most over the top about a pet of anyone I've ever met in my life.

You should've totally asked her what her deal was when you were drunk haha
because that box full of birthday toys for a bird is too much.
And skipping out on a lunch with family that are in town to play with the bird is crazy to me...please don't stop haha
This is not even the Christmas presents. These are birthday only. Don't worry - the presents I ordered for the cat's stocking arrived yesterday! Like I said - I'm crazy pet girl too. Just not CRAZY pet girl.
