Delta airlines?

Is anyone familiar with Delta? Just found a good airfare for our May cruise and it is on Delta. I have never flown them before.

Re: Delta airlines?

  • I've used Detla a few times, never had any issues, you should talk to DecKala-or just Kala :) She's a travel agent, she would be able to help you out more.
  • I flew down to Texas a couple years ago with them and had a good experience.  My mom flew round trip to Texas and back with them last year and they went above and beyond to help her as she is elderly and this was her first time ever flying alone.

  • They are my personal preferred carrier.  Have flown them all over the world.  Flew with them a week ago and will be flying on them again next week.

  • I just flew with them to Belize in March, they were great. No complaints.
  • I was not impressed with them when I flew to New Orleans last year.  There were a TON of weather delays, so I think that played a big part in it.  When we flew home, there was no weather issues, so we weren't delayed.  They did say they do overbook all their flights, so there were people who thought they had tickets and had booked a while out that didn't have seats on the actual flight day due to overbooking.  We were lucky and had seats, but I felt really bad for the people who had to be bumped.

This is why IMO you shouldn't fly without a seat assignment. No seat assignment means that you run the risk of not having a seat at all. This might work well for those who are not flying with kids or are not in a hurry but for others - save the headache and pay/make sure you ahve seat assignment.
