s/o christmas gifts and SAHM's
I know there is a few of us here who became SAHM's and I was wondering about christmas gifts or actually any gifts.
Is the money you buy H's gift with money he earned or money you had previously earned and saved? If you use a credit card, is it a credit card your H pays?
I ask because sometimes H will say "don't worry about getting me stuff, like his bday or valentines day". He says if there is something he wants he'll get it cause all the money comes from the same place.

I'm in the camp of spending his money to buy him a gift. But Dan is pretty simple to shop for. He wants video games. He said he also wanted to get *us* a new laptop for christmas, so we may forgo giving each other gifts entirely this year depending if or what we get. Not only that, we're trying to save money for our next home, not sure if we're going to buy or not... So spending lots of money on each other is definitely out of the question.
But if I do end up filling in for someone at the salon in the next few weeks, that money will definitely go towards something for Dan.
My Acme Box last update 3/28/11
I haven't been working since June, and I do feel bad that even when I buy him something, it's not money I've earned. I think it just bothers me...he doesn't care.
We put most purchases on our Amex, so yes, in the end he pays that.
Sometimes I try to hide gifts I buy him by putting them on my bank card. He's on that account too, but he doesn't really go online and check it very often, so at least sometimes I can surprise him!
