How was your Thanksgiving?
Having four days off was glorious. I vote we do that every week
Any fun Thanksgiving stories to share? Not much here, just had a nice time with my family. The prime rib roast turned out more done than I wanted (sad) but was still good. The baklavla turned out awesome and I think I'll have to make it again for Christmas.
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: How was your Thanksgiving?
Ours was great. It was nice to see my sister and DS traveled extremely well, all things considered (busy holiday, 2 layovers in one trip, etc).
My sister did most of the cooking and everything was amazing. I'm going to get her recipes and do it all over again for Christmas
Yumm, baklava. My favorite!
Our Thanksgiving was wonderful. I did all of the cooking and everything came out great! DS was very well behaved, especially considering his birthday was Wednesday and he had a steady stream of visitors 2 days in a row.
His birthday party was yesterday and it was also excellent. He got so many toys, I've packed half of them away and he can have them this summer haha
I'm glad everything went smoothly with the party, LadyE!
I was off all last week, and I swear I did more at home than I've done here in a month.
I think it was Friday before I got the chance to relax. But everything came out really good - would have been much better if we had a double oven, so things could have been heated at the same time - and it was so nice not to run all over New England, like we do for Christmas. And, as a bonus, I only cut myself twice when prepping, heh.
Pictures, pictures!
I am doing the same with toys...they are out of control.
I LOVE any pix!
We had a good Thanksgiving-- we were at my parents house and it was relatively uneventful! I made a pumpkin cheesecake that was pretty darn delicious. DH agreed to stay the night at their house so we could relax and that was awesome.
I returned back to work today. So not cool.
Happy belated birthday to BabyE! I agree, I want to see pictures!
MrsC, did you come up with some fun ways to tell your parents about the pregnancy?
ILs were in DH's court. He didn't come up with anything creative. We usually have wine with MIL on holidays so when I didn't have a glass she asked if I was going to have any. I said no and DH said there was a reason I wasn't having any. Of course MIL got it right away, I looked at SIL to see if she did. She was smiling but I'm not totally sure she got in. Anyway, he then said I was pregnant and we gave them a sneak peek frame with an u/s picture in it.
My parents (i.e. mom) wanted to get a picture of us in front of our new fireplace for their (i.e. my mom's) Christmas card. So I snuck another sneak peek frame behind my back and got into place. I asked my mom if she was going to say, "I have a pig on my head" like you used to when we were little to try to get us to smile. She jokingly said it and took a picture of us. Then I said, "Now this time say 'we're going to have a baby'" and revealed the frame. They were surprised and my mom is very excited.
Aww, you should have taken a pic of her reaction as you said it!
And I had to Google what a sneak peek frame is, haha.
When I told my Dad, I said "Someone's pregnant... [19yr old sister's name]! Haha, kidding!" I'm so sweet.
You are evil!
