I was just coming to post this! Holy shiit!
Obviously this was a long time coming, buuuut... what's their plan now? Now that the defensive coordinator is taking over, we need a defensive coordinator, a permanent head coach, an experienced quarterback, a WR to replace Sims-Walker, a CB to replace Rashean, and approximately six linemen to fill in the injuries.
I guess they're just saying fuuk it, we'll sabotage the rest of this season and take the first round draft pick? lol
Holy crap! I agree that it was a long time coming. I think that it was great timing that as soon as someone said it at the office, a huge plan flew over. I agree with LB that we need all of those things. "Sunshine", as I call him (remember the titans) needs to man up and not just help in the sac process. It would also help him to have a better offensive line.
There are talks of Jeff Fisher coming this way. Gruden, anyone? They could have just waited until the end of the season. Really what is the point to do it when there are only a few games left?
I would be ecstatic about Jeff Fisher. If nothing else, the Jags need names that people recognize. Period. They're a bunch of nobodys right now and names would sell tickets IMO.
If Dirk Koetter is promoted to head coach, I will light our season tickets on fire.
Good riddance. This should've happened before this embarrassing season.
I agree that they need someone with a big name to replace him and excite the fans.
