UK ladies - party platter recs?

Ok, slightly random I know, but we are having our kid's 3rd and 5th birthday party while we are over visiting the in-laws at Christmas and I'd like to order some sandwich and other party platters (maybe a fruit and veggie one, etc) to have for nibbles.

Any recs or ones to avoid? I've been looking at the M&S, Sainsbury's and Tesco ones....Sainsbury's is definitely the easiest for us to pick up the morning of the party, M&S a close second.  Any other ones I should consider though?

  • I'd also check out Waitrose...I've had theirs and they are fab! You have to order soon for Christmas...
I like pineapples...they make life just so much more interesting.
  • And I'd chose Sainsbury's over Tesco any day, with M&S being quite good as well.

  • I was also thinking Waitrose and possibly Whole Foods if there is one in the area.

Forgot about Waitrose, I need to see how close it is though.

We won't have the party until January, hopefully the Christmas rush will be over  Big Smile

  • Waitrose has really good cupcakes, love the lemon one with lavender icing!

  • I would avoid Tesco's personally.

I'm loyal to Waitrose but if Sainsbury's is easier for you, that's a good option too. Most grocery stores do deliver so you could potentially purchase from anywhere and delivery is typically around ?5. M&S is great but it's probably going to be the most expensive.

  • Tesco sandwiches = * shudder *

You might query Pret as well. They do discounts on some larger orders.
