I need new everyday dishes (I really need to get married again so I can have a shower since everything is breaking or crapping out on us
). I've looked at JCP, Younkers, Target, Walmart, BBB any place else anyone can think of? I am looking for a reasonably priced set (16 piece +) that isn't fugly. Currently our plates are black and I really like them but I've broken a few of them lately so I guess it's time for new. They have held up well as they are over 10 years old. My mom also suggests I go with a different color.
Also, I'm not a fan of the fiesta stuff.
Re: everyday dishes
love is for every her, love is for every him, love is for everyone
We went with Pfaltzgraff stone wear because they can go in the oven, microwave, freezer, dish washer...I would only buy the pieces that you need instead of buying by the place setting.

Ditto. I love our Pfaltzgraff stuff - it's indestructible!
We have Correll dishes that I got before we moved in together (before we were engaged). I actually got them at the outlet mall in Williamsburg, IA at the kitchen store there. I know Target sells them but you can also look online and find them for cheap. I haven't dropped any (knock on wood) but none of them have scratched or broke. I love them and they are super easy to clean. We got a nice set of dishes for our wedding but wanted to keep these as everyday. I also like that they are light. My mom has square white ones from JCP and they are so freakin heavy.
And I agree - fiesta = yuck
