We got a call today from the realtor for the sellers for our home in NE. This fall we had mentioned to him that we may be putting it on the market, had a meeting, took some pics, etc..., but then decided to hold off until spring.
Apparently he has an out of state client looking to buy what is essentially our house. He showed them pictures from the listing that he had 2 years ago-when we bought the house-and they wanted to make an offer, sight unseen, above what we paid by a good bit and move in for 1/1, but their move in date is set in stone.
Unfortunately, we can't do it since we have nowhere to go, oh yeah, and a baby due in just over 4 weeks. The kicker is, we will be putting the house on the market by March...
Re: House random
don't offer unless you mean it....
Sadly, I don't think S's job would let him tellecommute.... otherwise you would have some very LOUD houseguests (A is the loud one, at least he is today!)
You are more than welcome! The boys could entertain each other and we could have a bottle of wine!
That sucks so bad. I was going to suggest just renting somewhere for the in between time as much as it would suck if you are getting a great price for your house it would be worth it. Then I remembered you are having a baby and that would be no fun at all with a newborn. Not to mention, means you would have to move twice.
Did you ask your realtor to check if their move in date could be negotiated? I know you said it was set in stone, but if they really love your house maybe you could work something out.
