All of this time, I had no idea that Bob Saget narrates the show. DH said something about it last night, thinking I knew, but I didn't. Am I the last person to realize this?

It's actually something that's always annoyed me about the show. It's one thing to have a "grown up" narrator for a child, but Ted is a 30 year old man. Why would his voice change so much when he's 45?
I always thought it was so weird.

I KNEW that voice sounded familiar! I could never place it and always forgot to look it up.
So no, I'm now the last person to realize this
And technically I didn't realize it, I found out here... lol

This has always bothered me too but the conclusion I came to is that they just wanted to differentiate between dad Ted and Ted so that it wouldn't make people think he was thinking things (because don't they have BS talking while things are going on not just when they show the kids?)

YES!! This has always annoyed me! Family Guy made fun of it one episode.
It's kinda like realizing Kristen Bell is the voice on Gossip Girl, all of a sudden you can't believe you've missed something so obvious for so long.
Also a random- HIMYM is now available on Netflix Instant. Hooray!

DH who is not good at all with star faces much less voices, said within an episode or 2 "The Ted narrator sounds alot like Danny Tanner...." LOL
