PSA: People still rave

Link

I had to read that three times.

My mind was like wait... rave?

Yes, I have been to raves. Ten years ago. *feels old now

Re: PSA: People still rave

  • Oh. It's that girl. SilentSymphony or whoever.

She's so full of MUD it's ridiculous.

However, in the Twin Cities, I recently saw a flyer stuck to a post in downtown Minneapolis advertising a secret underground rave.

    Um, secret fail, advertising geniuses.

    Oh, FFS.
  • This thread is funny. And yes, people still 'rave'.....the movement died out a little bit in the US, but from what I understand, it's started to pick up again. (I am a dj, btw) I imagine it's picked up again thanks to the younger generation of people who are being exposed to electronic music, but it will never be anything like it was 10 years ago. One impressive thing though - we have several major festivals dedicated to electronic music in the US now - DEMF, Ultra Music fest, Electric Zoo, and I think a few other ones. The party scene has and always will be much bigger/better in Europe (and other countries) though ;)

As far as the link - I skimmed through it pretty quickly and have to say that anyone, whether they rave or not, who flashes led lights into the eyes of a newborn is pretty darn stupid....

I want to think that she's MUD because she's so awful, but I shared a home board with her for a while and I really think she's real. There've just been too many threads she's been a part of where she could've stirred things up in and didn't.
