Just wonderful...
So I bought the books you ladies recommended to me "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" and "Two Is Enough." The TCYF book came in today, and I sent H a text letting him know. The first letter of that text was "M" and somehow "Mom" got put into the "Send to" also.
She sent me a text back saying, "Didn't know you were interested." So I called her right away and let her know that no, I'm not trying to have a kid and I'm just exploring my options to go off of bcp. She didn't believe me and immediately got all excited, thinking that I (and I quote) "came to my senses and got aboard the baby train." I kept saying no over and over, but then she got off the phone to run tell my dad.
Argh! So now I'm having uncomfortable conversations about yes/no babies with my H AND my parents think we're "trying."
*buries head in sand and hopes this all blows over before Christmas*

There was a funny quote I heard from a comic a while back, talking about getting pressure to produce grandkids
"it's ueter-us, not uter-you" (as in her mom needed to butt out because the decision was her and her H's not her moms, I totally butchered the joke, but you get the point)

Aw hun! That's horrible! I'm sure you're a really wonderful mom. I was actually surprised my mom was as happy as she is, because this is the same woman who said it's a good thing I don't plan on having kids because I'll be the one to take care of her and my dad, along with their debt.
is your mom sarcastic? i hope so...my mom is very sarcastic and tells me things like this all the time....but i know she's not serious. if she is, i'm so sorry
