How often should you replace pillows and duvets?
So I recently found out you're suppose to replace mesh bath sponges every two months because of bacteria and stuff, and now I'm paranoid that there are lots of other things I'm suppose to replace more frequently than I thought. I have a goose down duvet and goose down pillows that I wash regularly. I've had them for 6.5 years and they're all in good working order, but now I'm wondering if I'm suppose to replace these at some point just for gps. This is probably really dumb, but do I need to worry about dust mites and dead skin if I wash them or a regular basis?

I keep our pillows in allergen protectors. I wash the pillowcases and protectors every week, and the pillows every month. I replace the pillows when they're worn and don't bounce back into shape.
I replace my mesh bath sponge every month.
