Re: Wii or XBox 360 Kinect?

  • I personally think the Wii. My DH has a XBOX 360 and really none of the games appeal to me. I have not looked lately so just going off almost a year ago. I thinkt he Wii is more family oriented personally and kick myself for selling it cuz we never played it.......I'm bored now that school is out :)

  • BF has an Xbox, and while not many of the "regular" games are something that I'm completely into...we love the Kinect.  The sports games are awesome and he bought A & L Kinectimals and they really love that as well.  They each have their own pet and play whenever they are at his house.

  • Wii.  We have it and E loves it.  She is getting really good at it.  Her favorites are the Dora games and Monkey Ball Banana Blitz.

I am going to get the Wii fit for me (if I don't get it for Christmas).

Also, we stream Netflix through our Wii and can get on the internet on our tv through it.  Dh loves it for this.

  • We have the Wii and Playstation 3 with Move.

Look at the overall use.  You will probably find more kid friendly games for the kids (their current age) on the Wii versus XBOX but your husband would love the XBOX more for adult games.  The XBOX does have couple fun family games as does the Playstation3 which is also a great gaming system with the move.

Throw into the mix, PS3 is also a blue ray player along with netflix streaming and online game playing.  Where Wii and XBOX does not play blue ray movies unless it has changed within the last 6 months.  But they all stream netflix and XBOX also does online gaming.

  • XBox 360...our kids have played with the Wii and they would get bored. Same with kids that I've cared for at work. Plus older kids and adults don't much care for it, in my experience. We ended up getting a 360 during a Target deal and got a gift card and games free with it. We really like it. I know you can do the whole LIVE thing with it, but we haven't yet...I'm still trying to learn about that before jumping in, but apparently you can rent movies and games through it.
