What homemade gifts are you making this year?

(Just looking for ideas and seeing the creativity out there) :-)

I'm thinking of making a dry erase board and some fabric covered cork bulletin board for my Mom to organize her office

I'm making a 'travel wallet' for DH, to hold his e-ticket, passport and ID.

I think we are dyeing napkin sets for our siblings and their spouses. I have been wanting to play with some dyeing techniques and I think the intended recipients would appreciate and use them.

I think I am giving snowmen ornaments made from wire, big beads and felt (the brim of the hat), but it depends on whether or not I sell any at a holiday boutique this weekend. I don't know if I will make more, so if I sell them, I may come up with a different ornament to give away.

I'm making belts for the men in the families and wristlet for the younger women (sisters, cousins, nieces). I am doing small tote style boxes for the cars of the older women (moms, aunts, godparents).

I making coasters. I bought some 4x4 tiles and will cover in scrapbook paper. I also bout some 6x6 tiles and will cover those in scrapbook paper. I will give them and people can use them as a big coaster or set a spoon or something on.

I am making some picture canvases. Taking a picture and putting it on a canvas.

I saw these ideas on Pinterest and hope they turn out good.

last year I bought the dry ingredients (flour, sugar...) to make a favorite cookie recipe and layered all of the dry ingredients in mason jars. I cut out round pieces of fabric to cover the lid, tied a bow around the lid and attached baking directions. Since I did an M&M recipe, the tag that had the baking directions on it was made to look like an M&M. It looks really cute and everyone loved it.

I tried to do the picture canvases and it was a big fail. I kept ripping the tissue paper. That is why I went with the coasters for a couple people.
