Joined Crossfit!

So ever since starting grad school and my new job, working out has been thrown out the window. Because of that, I have been falling FAST out of shape and have gained very much unwanted weight. well, that changed today because I joined my local crossfit and TOTALLY got my a$$ WHOOPED tonight, and it was WONDERFUL! Not to mention that my trainer tonight was H-O-T (and his name is also Joe, hahahahaha)

What I like most about it is that it is constantly different (I get bored easily) and the class size is limited so you are basically getting 1 on 1 training which is great! It is expensive, but I'd rather spend my money on feel great and getting healthy rather than that extra snack and/or coffee.

I'm actually really excited to start and I just had to share!! :)

  • My friend joined a crossfit gym about 2 months ago and he looks fantastic. I don't think I have the committment to do something THAT intense, but for those who do I know it is a super fantastic workout that people rave about. Congrats on your new adventure :)

  • You are going to love it!  It may seem crazy at first, but you will be so amazed at the leaps and bounds that you make pretty quickly.  The a$$ woopings will continue, because even as you get better, you are still pushing hard, but it is completely addicting!!!  It definitely never gets boring.

    I read some of the stuff on the web page, and it sounds like your box is focused on good form and technique, which is really important.  Some places are more concerned with doing higher weights rather than good form, and that leads to injuries.  Do you know if they do Paleo there? 

    I am so excited for you, and am totally looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it once you have been doing it for a while and any other updates!  YAY!  :)

    Not really sure what Paleo is, haha, but they are incorporating an Aerial's class which I'm really excited about :) And I will definitely update!!

    Oh, an Aerial's class sounds awesome!

    Paleo is a diet that is very popular with a lot of CrossFit boxes.   It is basically trying to eat like humans did before farming and processed food, so lots of fresh meats, veggies, fruit, nuts and seeds.

    I will be looking forward to the updates!
