Really? I am side eyeing these posts
Especially the "Anyone live in Acton?" post.
Really, lurkers. 85 views on an obvious post since it's titled well and only 1 person responds?
You lurkers are giving me the creeps. It's one thing if it's a vague post "How was your thanksgiving?" because for some reason, you aren't willing to join in on a board yet you care about the details of our holiday, but the Acton post title is pretty obvious yet not a single one of you helped the poster.
Re: Really? I am side eyeing these posts
I know this isn't for me, since I'm not a lurker, but I looked at the Acton post since I leave nearby. Unfortunately we have a fake tree (which I'm sure will get side eyes haha) so I couldn't actually help.
I'm kind of surprised we have so many lurker because this board isn't very active. Not a great board to stalk.
Well you are both regulars as you have posted very frequently.
I know some people do open posts numerous times. But it is so weird to see that many views of my baby's smash cake pix and 7 people reply. It can't be that those same 7 people opened the post to look at the pix half a dozen times each, right?
I think when you open it, it counts as one view and you respond, a second... I opened it at least twice to look at the cuteness and responded once...
Well, the board is slow (and moreso since just before the holiday--I think everyone is still hung over
). If each of the seven people in your post opened it each time to see what the other responders said then that would be more than half a dozen times each
I know we do have lurkers (which, I agree, is kind of weird to me given what a small board we are), but I do also often click into the same posts several times.
The fact that we have lurkers always surprises me.
It has been so slow here lately, I would welcome a troll or crazy newbie to make things more interesting. coughcoughstw/sb2bcoughcough
I saw that name coming from a mile away!
I'll admit, I was thinking snarky thoughts when I first read that post but decided to play nice with the newbie.
And I usually depend on you to start new and funny posts. WTH have you been?! I'm just not as good at it
Hehe, you know me too well. Sometimes I worry that she's gone forever.
Last week I was gone all week because DH took the week off! Woohoo!
AND, I have started going to the gym in the mornings (yes, I know, I'm such a go-getter). After I get us both ready, go there, work out, shower, bring DS to the pool, and get home, it's usually past noon.
I also haven't forgotten about the pajama jean pictures. Ok, so I forgot, but I'm trying to remember at a moment when DH is around to take the photos for me.
Awww. thanks, ladies!
I am side eyeing everything today. I'm clearly in a mood. (see Pets)

Haha ... I did the same thing. I opened, read, wasn't sure what to say so I didn't reply. Oops.. I often have enough time to read through posts and then have to run to stop Lil from running off down the hall or pulling out everything in her toy box. OR I read so late that I've missed the conversation.
Have you done the update (maybe a month old now) for your iPad. It made a world of difference for me.
On another note, I was afraid I caused you all to run for the hills. Hope you all don't hate me.
I tend to open most posts but don't reply to many because a lot of times I'm on my phone and don't have the patience to post from it.
and ditto Holly about the Acton post - I opened it because I live 2 towns away, but have zero recs for getting a real Christmas tree.
I was lurking on Pets last night and was laughing at your side eye post over there too!
Me too! I only post occasionally but look at the posts (and sometimes check back for responses if it's something of interest).
I also live close to Acton and checked it out but have never been to a tree farm to I had nothing for her.
I guess I'm a bit of a lurker too but I will come out if I have sometime semi relevant to add.

See!?
lol
I've been coming in almost every time someone posts to read the responses. So that's probably been about a dozen times. If all 12 posters in the thread also looked at it about 10 times that's 120 views.
The Acton post view count is still strangely high.
I confess, I lurk here now and again. And when I opened that post and saw that C had already given the answer I would have, I closed it. Seeing as I pretty much never post here anymore I didn't think it was worth coming out of lurkdom just to say 'yeah that'.
Oh and hi :-)
