Photoshop template question

Okay , this is probably a really stupid question, but I am new to photoshop so...

I found some cute christmas card templates for photoshop on etsy.  I just buy them, download them, throw my pics in and then I can just print them off-correct?  I can also order them through an online printing company??  I don't know why, but that just seems way too easy-since everything I have tried to do with photoshop has been crazy complicated!

Re: Photoshop template question

  • Sometimes "throwing pics in" isn't QUITE that easy (you may have to go to File, Place. . .), but it shouldn't be too hard.  Also, be sure to save the file (when you've inserted pics, etc.) as a jpg.  It will probably come as a psd to you.

  • FIRST thing to do....File / Save As with a new name! That way if you make any mistakes you still have the original.

You will most likely need to make a new layer and drag it to the bottom. You photo will go in that layer.
