Anyone work for Geico Insurance

Anyone work for Geico Insurance as an Auto Adjuster?  I got a call for a job as an Auto Adjuster and it involved 9 weeks training.  Just curious how Geico is to work for and what is involved in the training for this position?  Where do you stay during training?  Are you able to travel home on weekends?

thanks

Judi

Re: Anyone work for Geico Insurance

  • My husband works for them, started in the call center as a customer service rep, and has moved up from there, he's been there for over 4 years. It's a fabulous company to work for. The benefits are amazing, they pay substantially more than other insurance companies, and they do promote from within. After you've been there for two years you get profit sharing, with is usually 20-30% of your salary. Half of it goes into your 401k, and you get a check for the rest.  I'm not sure how training is done for an adjuster, but for my husband he had a two month training period, but it was all done during the day, and he came home at night. You'd have to ask them during the interview how the process works. Over all though, I would recommend working for the company.
