colored or white lights? ugghhh...i am totally a white light girl. but if you are friends with me on fb, you would see that i made a marital compromise this year and let dh have colored.
do you put up a lot of decorations? i decorate our family room and a little in the downstairs bathroom. my upstairs feels naked this year, so i may do something to change that
do you put anything outside? no lights anymore, but we do have cute wooden things that you stake in the ground
are you (or dh) particular with how you decorate? not really. but there are some ornaments that i REFUSE to put on the tree!
anything else about Christmas you'd like to share?i have a Christmas village that i love. i know some people think they are ugly and tacky, but i like mine! i've also decorated my cube with tons of lights, garland and a wreath. everyone keeps walking by telling me how much they love it!have you put up a tree yet? when did/will you put it up? the tree is up, it went up sunday afternoon...but it's only got lights and garland right now. ornaments will be tonight.
real or fake? fake...it's the tree from my parents house i always put up when i was a kid. my mom is allergic to real trees, so we had to have fake. DH and i had a smaller fake tree when we had our apartment, and last year mom and i swapped because she wanted a small one, and we needed bigger
colored or white lights? colored all the way!! i love the way white lights look on other people's trees....but they aren't for me.
do you put up a lot of decorations? we have lights in our dogwood out front, plus the bushes on either side of the house. DH is getting his friend to help put up the roof lights this weekend. i also need to change out our mantle decor.
do you put anything outside? lights. LOTS of lights.
are you (or dh) particular with how you decorate? i really wish i had more space to decorate, but we don't really have any flat surfaces to decorate...maybe one day when we have a bigger house.

are you (or dh) particular with how you decorate? DH does most of the decorating, but I'm the picky one. I insist on white lights on the tree (warm white if LED). If lights are on the eaves, I only want "gingerbread" style lights - no icycles (had them before and are tired of them). I'm not a fan of multi-color lights in general either. I prefer all white or a single color and white.
anything else about Christmas you'd like to share? DH has some major plans for the lights outside, possibly for next year. However, after seeing what a PITA it is to put them on the eaves for the first time this year, I believe he is talking himself out of it. For those familiar with WDW, think Osbourne-inspired....have you put up a tree yet? when did/will you put it up? its up! YAYAYA! I set it up on Sunday, after T'day/
real or fake? its fake. I truly have some awful allergies and its mostly nature that I'm allergic to. So,
fake it is. I'd LOVE to have a real tree again, but being ultrasnotty for the holidays blooooooows.

do you put up a lot of decorations? not too many. The tree + the mantle. I swear I used to have a nice door wreath, but I have no idea where it went!
do you put anything outside? I found LED icicle lights I muct have bought on clearance last year. I think we'll put them windows in the sunporch.
are you (or dh) particular with how you decorate? I have some must-have ornaments for sure. Many, MANY WDW ones (geez I have a lot), and some that are just awesome; My Big Chicken and my Rainbow Brite one. WHAT?!
anything else about Christmas you'd like to share? I love opening the storage bins for Christmas because I find all this great stuff I always forget we have. Jingle-bell ornament wreath for the mantle? Hells yeah! Our stockings! They're so pretty. Oh yeah, mantle weights... OOOH LED lights!
And I really want my stuff to start coming in so I can wrap up gifts! I have so much I'm waiting on.

anything else about Christmas you'd like to share? finding a men's full zip wool sweater in a neutral color with no pattern for under $100 for DH has been nearly impossible.

have you put up a tree yet? when did/will you put it up? It's up. I got it from storage on Sunday afternoon. Driving with the top down on my car to get it since it was 70 degrees felt a little strange.
real or fake? Fake. I feel bad killing trees, but I love how they smell.
colored or white lights? I appreciate white but I have colored on my tree.
do you put up a lot of decorations? We live in a 760sqft loft. The few we have make an impact.
We have a 4.5' tree on a stand so it's taller, a wreath and a few small decorations.
do you put anything outside? I would like to put an outside wreath on my door, but I only have a neighbor across from me so I haven't bothered.
are you (or dh) particular with how you decorate? Nope I do it. Dh doesn't really have particulars about holiday decorating.

I try to get Christmas Ornaments from everywhere we travel. I have a little stature of liberty from NYC, an Eiffel tower from Paris to name a few. I forgot to get one from Barcelona/Spain so I think I may make one.
have you put up a tree yet? when did/will you put it up? I started last Friday and have about 3/4 of 1 tree up. I still need to bring the other tree up and decorate it plus put everything else out. I'm going to finish tomorrow while my mom is here to watch Callie.

do you put up a lot of decorations? not a TON but a fair amount. My trees do have an excessive amounts of ornaments on them. Last year I bought a rotating tree stand so now the tree in the living room spins!! I can decorate all of it without feeling like the ornaments on the back will never be seen!

are you (or dh) particular with how you decorate? I am, I don't even want H to help!! All my decorations are Disney (shocker!) so I like to do it.
anything else about Christmas you'd like to share? It's my favorite time of the year! This year we are driving to NJ so my 90yr old grandmother can meet Callie. We are staying in a huge townhouse on the shore (too bad it's cold!) for super cheap! This place rents for $3800 for 4th of July weekend and we are paying $450 for 3 nights!! I can't wait to bundle Callie up and take her out to see her first ocean! 13 hours in the car is a little scary though!!

do you put anything outside? Yes - we put garland with red bows and white lights across the front of our porch and we put a wreath I made a few years ago on the door.
are you (or dh) particular with how you decorate? Kind of. DH says we will never have a fake tree, hah!
anything else about Christmas you'd like to share? I have a fabulous playlist of christmas music on my iPod, and I've been rocking it out in the car on the way to and from Athens this week.
we do this too! we got a glass evil eye from greece, and some little porcelain clogs from amsterdam...in the airport.
