We are having big issues with K not wanting to slepe in her crib and crying/waking up, wanting to be held, etc. If I gave her a blanket she would probably sleep all night because she likes holding on to her her silky blanket, sucking on it, etc. but I am too paranoid to let her have a blanket in her crib. Someone recommended the Cloud B giraffe but don't think I want anything plush in her crib...she has the rainforest soother that attaches to crib but can't figure out how to turn it back on...any other ideas for something we could give her??
Re: Crib Soothers
Thank you! This is the thing I saw a long time ago and couldn't remember...I posted on the bump but no one could remember what I was talking about...may have to look into this.
We have this for H. http://www.target.com/p/Summer-Infant-Slumber-Buddies-Crib-Soother-and-Nightlight-Butterfly/-/A-13002035
It's nice because I don't worry about her since it's pretty hard. It plays music and puts red, green, or blue stars on the celing for 15-30 min. You could also do a lovey thing. It's smaller and I wouldn't worry about it like a large blanket.
I will look at this too- we have one of those Cloud sea turtle things that Blake sleeps with and loves and sicne this plays music this may be a good option...we have tried loveys but the oens we had all had rattles in them which keep her awake. I thought about just getting a real small blanket like 12 in by 12 in or something but am just not a fan of blankets in the crib I guess.
I will check this butterfly and seahorse out though as they both have some hard spots and don't look to be all too plushy...
Thanks for posting this! We're thinking about one for B for Christmas, so this gives me some recs... :-)
But, when you asked about loveys... http://www.adenandanais.com/shop/Issie.aspx -- Muslin, so really thin and breathable. And cute!

Yes, DS sleeps with his every night.
FWIW, I got ours and my nephews at Big Wheels to Butterflys for $2.50. The inside light/music part comes out and you can wash the rest. So, I just threw it in the wash with his clothes. I saw one there this morning.
Thanks...may give this a shot tonight!
