Can you help me find a 9' pre-lit tree?

We bought 2 (yes, two!) GE Frazier fir pre-lit trees over the weekend from Home Depot. We brought the first one home, set it up and had to return it because one section of lights wasnt working. We returned it for another one and the exact same thing happened. After six round trips to the Depot, DH and I were super frustrated and we still don't have a tree. I don't want to pay a fortune but I do want a pre-lit tree that actually works when brand-new. If you've recently bought a nine foot one, where did you get it and what did it cost?

  • Garden Ridge by Willowbrook has some.  They currently have their Christmas trees 50% off.  I think the 9' are $299 regular price.  I almost bought one last year, but opted for one that was 7.5'.  I love my tree.

This!  There's a gorgeous 9' tree there that I want.  Too bad I don't need a new tree.

  • We bought our tree from Costco a few years ago. It was a Kirkland Signature? 9-ft Pre-Lit Just Cut? Christmas Tree
and we LOVE it. I don't see it online. I wonder if they still carry it.

    It was just under $300.

  • i bought our 9' pre-lit tree from Sams.  It even has a remote control (which I haven't set up, but still pretty neat).  I love it!

We made do with a clapper for many years.  It was fun when the dog barked :)

Haha, no the remote turns on/off the lights. I guess so you don't have to reach behind the tree to push the button.

oooh....i just use a timer. cuts out even having to push a button on a remote ;p

  • Ditto the tree at Sam's. That's where we got ours.

On a side note, why do they make them so effing hard to put together? Our tree has three sections of tree, but four sections of lights. I can NEVER find the last section of lights and it takes me an embarrassingly long time to put the damn thing together every.single.time. Maybe it's just me.

Now, THAT would be cool. DH and DS would never stop playing with it.
