I almost murdered Derek last night.
I'd spent a good number of hours working on our Christmas cards. They were a really cute design that I'd pinned on Pinterest that looked like a snowman with his arms out staring up in the sky. Each one required a decent amount of cutting and assembly, but I didn't get overwhelmed and managed to finish all the snowmen in decent time. Last night I went to glue them to the actual card part and I couldn't find them. Derek had accidentally thrown then in the garbage. Yesterday was garbage day. Gone. All gone. I barely talked to him the rest of the night. I had so many mean and unfair things going through my head that I knew I'd regret it if I said them, so instead, I just kept quiet.
So, now I'm making more snowmen. I'd hoped to get my cards out this week, but we'll see.
Other than that it was a good night. Ha.

Oh no! Raynes, that stinks. I think I'd need some time to myself to stew if Josh did something like that, too. I hope you're able to get your cards out this week.
Nothing going on over here. Yesterday was my first day staying a little later to make up for the flex day I now have, so I got home a little after 7pm and started cooking dinner right away. Josh came home not too long after that and said he loved my pasta and meat sauce. I impressed the Italian with my pasta dish! I couldn't believe it.
Tonight I'm on my own; I'm going to force myself to the gym and then have a light dinner. After that, reading.

We've been better about exercising and went to the gym after work last night before having leftovers for dinner. It's tough to be eating at 9pm though, it throws my timing all off. But we had time to relax and do some work on our holiday cards - we ordered them through apple and they arrived yesterday, so we'll hopefully get them ready to go this week and then mail them when we're in the US.
On another note, sometimes it amazes me how small the world is. We were coming out of our gym last night (which is in a hotel), and some guy chases out after us, saying "don't I know you?" to DH. Turns out they met while on exchange in Barcelona at the same time during their MBAs (from different US schools). This guy lives in San Fran and was in town for business staying at the hotel, while we live around the corner. And both ended up at the same gym at the same time. I love it when this sort of random thing happens!

Last night was good. I made spaghetti for supper and me and Jordan watched rudolph after dinner. I love all these Christmas shows coming on. I went to the local little dollar store yesterday to get a few props for pictures the boys have on Saturday and I guess they had just gotten a truck in. They had some awsome cute stuff so I picked up a few inexpensive things for my sister for Christmas.
Tonight I am making an easy dinner and my grandmother is coming over to see the boys before she heads to church and let me see her new car. She also has some clothes my cousin brought to her this past weekend for me
I love hand me downs especially from my rich cousin that never wears her stuff more than three times.
OMG, I would have killed him! I'm so sorry.
Last night I finished a little Christmas calendar countdown for Jim. I'll post it on my blog tonight.
I'm going to try to leave work early today so that I can get home for spin, since I didn't make it yesterday. I should be able to with no problem - I was first in this morning. Then I have the rest of the evening to myself. Jim is having a sleep study done tonight, so he's going right there after work and I won't see him until tomorrow morning. I'm going to be lonely all by myself.

Wow, raynes! I would have been furious.
I had a nice evening. I got in another good workout and then watched some b-ball. My team won and the Big 10 had a good night overall, so I went to bed happy.
Tonight I don't have much planned. I hope to get in a workout and need to figure out something to make for dinner. I think I'll try to get to bed early too as I'm still feeling exhausted.

Yesterday was MIL b-day so we stopped by there house last night to wish her a happy birthday, we ended up staying for over a hour playing with her new puppy who is too cute for words! Playing with Ellie makes me want a puppy so bad! After that we had a quick dinner and watched Rudolph.
Tonight I think we're going to run to Toys R Us and pick up some gifts for my nephews for Christmas before everything is all picked over.
Morning all. I have a crazy day ahead of me today, and I'm super exhausted. Yay for jet lag catching up. B's plane was an hour late getting in last night, so by the time I left work, went to my grandpa's to pick up the cats, picked him up at the airport, and got home, it was close to 11:00. After work today, I'm hoping to catch up on some tv and just take it easy.

Lastnight was uneventful. I worked a little late, then made supper, finally put away all the laundry from vacation. (I only need to pack up our summer clothes now). I then relaxed in bed catching up on Season 5 of Dexter. I fell asleep 1/2 way through the second episode, so tonight watching more Dexter is on my agenda.
I also have decided (I think) on what i am getting my SS. I just need to order and have it shipped. Will probably try to do that tonight as well.

I'm getting ready to head to Santa Monica for interview number 2 this morning, and then the 3rd this afternoon. Yesterday's was okay, but I couldn't really read the guy who was interviewing me - he was not very conversational so it was just kind of firing questions at me and not responding much. We'll see. I'm more excited about the agencies I'm meeting with today, so fingers crossed!

Haven't really noticed anything, but I'm sure that would be different if I worked in the city center. Some schools and programmes are closed, so some of my coworkers were late because they had to take care of their kids. I haven't seen any demonstrations, but there's tons of them happening, just not in my area. The airports and hospitals are probably crazy, since a lot of those workers walked out. I'm just glad it's only for a day.

So, DH's exW emailed him yesterday to remind him that it was their wedding anniversary. It was sickly-sweet with biblical references and 'oh, we're so blessed' nonsense. Whothehell does that?? I'm so angry (albeit irrationally angry) about it.
Deep breath - he didn't respond, and we had a good evening. But really - I cannot express how much I despise that woman. (ha - I initially typed worman. Much more appropriate description).

DH and I are dealing with a bunch of demands and drama from baby mama. Both of us were sick to our stomach last night and couldn't even think of eating. Looks like 2012 will start off with us back in court. We've contacted the same lawyer he used initially and he's available to take us on, so at least we don't have to start from scratch.
Tonight should be low key - easy dinner of homemade cheese steaks with zucchini chips and catching up on the DVR.
raynes - I'm so sorry! Too bad some of us don't live closer, we could have a snowman making party!
Good morning ladies. Les and raynes, you are both better people than me. I would have been furious and I can't keep my mouth shut when I'm upset.
I needed a day to myself so I'm taking the day off work and LO is with my MIL today. I plan to nap, catch up on my shows, paint my nails, and later treat myself to lunch and Starbucks. I'm already feeling so much better about things and can breathe again. It's been a rough few weeks and I'm so glad to have some alone time.

Last night was low key for me. I went to the mall to pick up a few pairs of work pants I had hemmed and drop off jeans to get hemmed. Didn't get to bed as early as I would have wanted to and didn't end up getting up this morning to work out.
Tonight we are going to have grilled cheese and soup and just take it easy. Hopefully just get my dishes done.
Evening! Low key day for me. School was good, then Ed and I had appointments to get our snow tires put on, so while we waited we walked down to a local bar for a beer.
Then we came home and had brisket from the crockpot...the meat was good, but I didn't love the recipe, must keep looking. Now we are just hanging out. I am going to do some reading and go to bed early since I have to get up at 4:30 tomorrow to get my run in before school.
