Baby update
I had my 39 week appointment today and the Dr. said I haven't made any progress towards labor and did I want to schedule an induction. I told him I'd rather wait until after my due date which is Monday before we talk induction. So I have an appointment on Tuesday of next week and if I still haven't had the baby by then I will most likely be scheduled to go in Wed. night and probably have the baby on Thurs. the 8th. I really hope that I go on my own before then though.
Last night DH and I went to dinner and on the way home I got kind of sad that our "us" time is about to end. Don't get me wrong I am beyond excited to meet our little boy and start our family, but it's been just us for so long. We promised each other we'd still make our marriage our priority and spend quality time with each other after baby is born. I want to do nothing but spend quality time with him for these next few days before the baby gets here.
So anyways the countdown is on-8 days will likely be the most I'll still be pregnant!

First, you look adorable.
Second, yes enjoy the QT. DH and I keep saying we're going to go out one night, but we are so far form family and friends that there aren't many people (anyone) I trust with DD at her young age. One of these days we will get out. Right now I blame the business of the holidays.
Third, I hope you go on your own too. If find out you do have to be induced, though, you can always talk to me about it. I didn't want to be induced either but my body just wasn't cooperating (I was 1cm and 50% for 4 weeks). I found induction really boring. I mean once the contrax kick in hard you have to breathe through them, but the first few hours of my induction were a snooze fest.
As for your internal, if you felt a bit more uncomfortable, they may have stripped your membranes. I didn't find that it hurt at all (even after everyone telling me like "ohmigosh it hurt sooo bad" not true) and was just a little more uncomfortable than a regular cervical check.

bake cupcakes and clean out your cupboard! LOL I did that in the morning, went to the birthday party for the kiddo who I did the cupcakes for...and by the time we were on our way home, light contractions had started and we ended up at L&D early the next morning
who knows, maybe it will work for you too! LOL

lol Val I was actually thinking I needed to clean out/organize my cupboards yesterday for when my mom and MIL stay I'm sure they will be cooking and I don't want it to be a disaster!
