CMC-What kind of motorcycle does your DH have?  I should've included that as a hobby of DH's but sorta forgot since he hardly rode this year.  He's been building bikes for a long time with his dad, and we have a 2000 Honda Goldwing (old man bike) because his dad gave it to him and that's what his dad always rode.  He finally decided he's going to sell it and get something way less $$$ and smaller (not a touring bike but something I could at least be on with him for 2ish hours).  He's shopping around now.

 

JEStrange-totally random, but we live like 2 blocks from a Dollar General Market and I love it.  I don't like the regular Dollar General across town because the venue is too small and it is SO crowded, but the Market is awesome.  The grocery selection may not be great, but the prices are usually awesome.  And I always end up leaving with a cart full of other stuff.  So I think it's cool that your DH works for them!

    Haha I won't tell you then why we NEVER shop at dollar general stores :). He doesnt really deal with any product. He manages, schedules, babysits the 45 truckers who deliver the freight from the distribution center to ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, and Wisconsin. He also gets all of the complaints from the store managers so we find out things that go on in the distribution center.

    I got two huge pumpkins there this year for $3.50 each, which was awesome-and they still look fresh.  We also get a lot of dry goods there because it's cheaper than Kroger (and so close).  I don't mess with the "fresh" stuff as much mostly because the selection is just not stuff we usually want.

    But I have gotten awesome deals on cards, paper products, tp, paper towels, etc. because they do coupon booklets at the beginning of each month, and $5 off $25 purchase a lot.  Prices are better than Walmart and I hate going to Walmart.

    His company just took over this dc in june. He has already gotten half a dozen emails from store managers saying someone in packaging urinated in the totes. Plus he said the warehouses and trucks aren't climate controlled so in the summer stuff sits in the heat for a long while before going to the stores!! He doesn't ship to markets though. No food sp you should be ok...I think :)

    He's got a crotch rocket, I don't really know the details, lol. Yamaha 1000cc something, so fast it makes me nervous. He wouldn't even have the damn thing if it wasn't such a good deal. His dad & brother are into bikes too, his dad has a Harley and takes motorcycle trips with his wife, has done Sturgis, etc. (which you would never believe if you saw him, ha!)

    Do you ride it with him?  Ryan wants something like a Honda Shadow or the Harley equivalent I think.  He wants to commute on it, so it has to be relatively comfortable I guess!

    Hell no! I can't do sport bikes. Cruiser/touring I can do.
