Update on myself and baby

Thanks Brandi for posting earlier and for all of your T&Ps!   Hubby finally got my computer up here.  He was out of town in Louisiana and I had to drive myself to the hospital so my mom could watch Mason.   We definitely weren't expecting or planning having LO early!

Baby seems to be doing well.  We have no reason for the pPROM but I am not having any contractions at all (which is good for now).

Doctor came in this evening and after consulting with an MFM, the MFM recommended inducing at 34 weeks to keep risk of infection down over keeping him in longer.  If I start contracting before next Wednesday (my ticker is off because I use the early ultrasound dates and she uses my LMP) and have signs of infection (fever, high white blood count, etc) then they will not stop labor but if I have no signs of infection, they will try to stop labor.   Then on/after Wednesday she will induce me.   We won't know how long he will have to stay in the hospital until after he is born and assessed.

Right now I am getting NSTs after each meal and before bedtime to check the baby's heart rate and for contractions, instead of keeping me on the monitors 24 hrs, for now.  I'm getting lots of antibiotics too.   Obviously, I won't be going home until after the baby is born.

Otherwise, I'm just chilling here thinking of all the things I wish I had done already!

Please keep us in your T&Ps and I will either come here to update if I can or text Brandi any updates.   Thank you so much!

P.S.  In the other post, I noticed someone asked if my DS#1 was born early, he was not.   He was induced at 39 wks due to my blood pressure rising.

ETA:  I got a steroid shot this morning and will get another one tomorrow to help his lungs out.
