It's the little things.

We're getting a horrible snowstorm in MI right now, and it's the first of the season. FF does snowplowing on the side to make extra money, so he had to leave my house a little early tonight. He didn't have a brush in his truck, so he borrowed mine from my car (in the garage) to clean off his truck.

Instead of going into my garage, getting the brush, using it and returning it, he took the time to shovel off my back steps and patio before cleaning off his truck (we've gotten 5" by now).

It's something so small and took him 30 seconds to do, but I appreciate it so much. It's the little things that make me love him so much!

Sorry, just had to swoon for a minute Smile

  • If you didn't deserve someone so nice I would hate you out of jealousy.  Seriously, I didn't think there were men out there who did things like that without you having to ask.  That's amazing.

And that's just it...I know he'd do anything for me if I asked, but the fact he thinks of these things without me even asking, it just blows my mind!

When he left, he drove up and down my driveway a few times to put tracks in there so if I don't have the time to shovel in the AM, I can still get out with my car. He lives 30 minutes away (in the town where I work), so that's why he won't be clearing out my driveway myself. I told him not to worry, I have a shovel and I'm not afraid to use it! Smile

  • Wow, I don't know what part of MI you are in but we haven't gotten any by me.  They were calling for 2-4 inches over night but I haven't seen a flake.  I'm sure it will make its way through later in the day.

I live 30 minutes south of Lansing, and work in Battle Creek. We ended up getting about 8" where I live and there's a good 2" of frozen slush under that. It's a mess!!

    Where in MI are you?

  • It is nice to hear the nice stuff.  It makes me hopeful. I am very happy for you!!
  • We got hammered with snow and ice too. Luckily I am still in bed :)

The little nice gestures are the best and I am happy for you that someone is treating you how you deserve to be treated. I get stuff like that without asking too and at first I was like, "Okay, when is the charade done on this?" lol

This exactly.  As I was reading how great FF is, I was thinking -- there really guys like that out there!

I live in Metro-Detroit.  I work 6 miles West of where I live and there was a dusting but I'm glad we missed the major storm.  So far.
