What's going on, ladies? All recovered from Thanksgiving? Who has a tree put up that they can PIP? Was there a new episode of HIMYM this week?
Re: What's shakin'?
Misery loves company...anyone here still? I'm going to be up for quite awhile trying to drape a terrain model in CAD and then futz with it.
HIMYM was a re-run. It's new next week though
I'm not putting up a tree this year, or really decorating for that matter. By the time finals are over it's Dec 14, then I have to go north on Dec 22, leave for India from up there and come back on Jan 16. No way am I coming back to a crispy tree and have to take everything down. lol. Call me scrooge hahaha
How is it Thursday? I swear I thought it was Monday or something...
Nothing new except for what I'm about to make a new post for.

Nothing new is really going on...except for that after tomorrow we have three full weeks of school until vacation. November is such a tease...we only have about 13 teaching days in the whole month. However, I did get an awesome review in a student-teacher meeting that involved the principal and my dept. head (I was not there).
We have a bunch of holiday parties lined up, and we also have our family's annual cookie swap. I think I'm going to try out oreo cheesecake cookies to see if they'll be a contender. It's about time I kicked up my game for this swap. I make badass stuff all year round and then flop out for the swap. Not this time buddies...
Those sound yummy!
I'm just doing some photo work. DH is on his 1-11pm shift now, so I have a few nights a week to myself.
We're putting up our tree on Monday, since it's the first night in 10 days we'll be home together. I am also working on some craft projects. Not sure if or how much I'm going to bake. I might make some GF treats when we go home for Christmas, now that DH's mom is gluten free, too.

Hi gals!
I'm behind on HIMYM and it's KILLING me! Ugh, I need to find time to watch it online or something.
I'm so friggin busy, mang! H's party is freaking me out - I'm full-blown paranoid it's gonna get ruined somehow. ONE MORE WEEK! Speaking of - sandwiches + individual little popcorn bags are enough for a party from 2pm to 5:30pm, right? There's booze and bowling, too...ON ME! I can't wait until it's over, seriously. STRESSFUL!
I also need to decide on holiday gifts for my staff and get/make them this weekend due to our show schedule/their holiday break. I think I'll make most of them cake balls - chocolate peppermint (with crushed candy canes on top!) and vanilla cheesecake (coated with coconut so they look like snowballs!). I have about 60 people for those, and I want them to get more than one stinking cake ball, so I think I'll have to make a third kind, too....any ideas?? I'll be getting the supervisors/year-rounders something more special (lotto tickets, cards, person-specific stuff)...but I'm really kind of stressed about getting everything done in time.
My BFF graduates in HAWAII 12/12 and I haven't talked to her in forever; I'm a terrible friend.
I have a pretty big event Saturday and essentially back-to-back shows until 12/12...yeah, I'm just pretty stressed! But it's all a good stress, kwim?
H GRADUATES IN 16 DAYS! WOO-HOO!
