As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

I never intro'd so.. ask me anything?
I've been posting a little more here lately and never really introduced myself. I've been lurking here for around 9 months and just reading the situations and advice has really helped me.
I was married October 2010 and I left him in May. We are still in the process of filing.
I'm pretty much an open book, so feel free to ask away! Nice to officially meet you all.

I was for just a few months though. I was engaged in June 09 but didn't find the boards until I believe summer 2010 so by the time I was posting it was time to move to TN.

Long story short - we made promises we couldn't keep. I promised to be OK with a career-driven husband - but his leaving at 530am and coming home at 8pm just to have dinner and get in bed to do it all again and weekends dedicating to studying and me having to be quiet in another room didn't work for me. I didn't care what salary he had, I didn't sign up to be alone. He promised to be a daddy - but he changed his mind about having a baby soon and decided 2014 sounded good to him, if he was ready by then. I knew this was not going to be a fun life for either of us. He agreed. I'm just the one with balls enough to walk away.
I'll be 29 in just 17 days. Ah!
I would do a GTG if I got to know you all better. I'm 20 minutes outside of AC, not sure if anyone is around here?
Ah ok, so probably after I left! I was engaged December 2008 (sounds so long ago!), and XFI and I broke up in June 2010. We were set to have an Oct. 2010 wedding, which is why I asked!
Really?? That's crazy! I definitely just missed you. Lucky you that you didn't actually get married.
