Re: POLL: Yearly Lady Doctor
I scheduled my appointment yesterday.
I do the same thing! It counts. They weigh you and take your BP, that's all that matters. LOL!
This is me too minus the pregnant parts.
You didn't give me a SS option. TRICKEY.
Happy?
Yes! I voted for SS because I am there ALL the fricking time. I think that place has more of my blood than I do.
Our crazy, wonderful life
My boring blog
I don't even have a PCP. I feel like I go to the doctor a lot between allergist, otolaryngologist, dermatologist, gyno, etc., but I don't have a primary doctor for physicals or when I just get sick. It's on my to do list.
Isn't that what urgent care is for?
(Someone viewing this is shaking their head at us right now.)
I have a PCP, and I'm also very prompt with my lady doc visits.
My mother got cervical cancer when she was 29. It was right after I was born. She almost didn't go to the appt that caught it because she was so exhausted with college classes and 2 toddlers and an infant. I thank God every day she just went. Between the time they caught it and the time she went in to have it removed (like a week) the amount of cancer had doublted in size. Luckily, that visit caught it so early that she's been fine ever since. Yes, it terrifies me that that could happen to me, but at least I would know and hopefully know early. 29 is really young to be dealing with that stuff. I take no chances.
That person would be my husband. He is on my arse all.the.time about finding a PCP and I just.......blah.
I totally use urgent care when I'm sick and feel I need to be seen. I get asthmatic when I get sick like I am now and the other night I realized my inhaler was gone/no refills. I looked at DH w/ sad eyes and he actually prescribed me a new one. He's NEVER done that before, but he knew I was miserable and don't have a PCP.
Cut the Crap - Weight loss journey of a Few Fat Chicks
SO glad it's not just me. I apparently have a PCP according to my insurance company, but I've never met the woman or stepped foot in her office. I was telling DH the other day that I don't know what I'll do if I get sick when I'm not pregnant!
