Re: POLL: Drinking Water

  • Working on getting back up to at least 8 glasses a day, some days I do, others its a bit less. But lots of water is back in my daily plan:)
  • I find that I overall feel better when I get a "good amount" of water each day, so I'm trying. But really, I'm probably drinking about a 1/3 of what I "should" be.

    Good for you!!

All I drink is water, with the exception of a cup of V8 fusion some days, or the occassional "splurge" with hot chocolate.... but even that is made with water. LOL!

  • I drink when I am thirsty. Even while pregnant, I don't force it down. Some days I drink a TON of water and other days, not much. I do notice that if you get in the habit of drinking a good amount every day, then your body starts to crave it and you find yourself more thirsty. At least thats how it is for me.

Speaking of water, I am nursing Carter and forgot how thirsty that makes you. I have been downing water here in the hospital like nobody's business!!!!

  • I do ok, but it's so hard to keep up with what I "should" be drinking. I have to pee enough already, dammit!

  • I drink out of a big water bottle throughout the day so I'd like to think It's a good amount if I refill it a few times during the work day. I should measure the ounces one day just to see.

I agree, at first I felt like I was forcing myself to drink 8-10 glasses of water a day, but now my body LOVES water, and I feel like crap if I drink anything other than it. I can easily meet my daily limit now, but will admit there are days that I don't drink enough.

  • I can't stomach plain water. It makes me vomit. I can sometimes get 1 bottle of flavored water a day in, but that's it. I used to be a big water drinker before this pregnancy! I hope to get back to 'normal' soon!

  • Lately I've been chugging down TONS of water, I think it's early pregnancy that makes me so thirsty.

I was sucking at getting enough water for awhile. Now I'm trying to get at least 80 oz. a day because I know it makes me feel so much better!

  • I drink a ton of water - probably well over the 8-10 recommended.  I have really dry skin so keeping the water intake perpetuating helps a lot.  I only drink water, coffee or tea, anyway, so everything I drink is fairly hydrating, but I still drink the 8-10 glasses on top of the other.  The only time I have soda is if I'm putting alcohol on it.
    Anniversary
  • Some, but not enough by far.  Too bad massive amounts of coffee don't count.

  • I definitely have been drinking more because I've been thirsty but not enough. The pre-natal class instructor said to drink a 2-liter of water per day. Tongue Tied

This is definitely me.  If I don't drink enough water - I can just tell in how I feel physically.  I'll have a headache, be really hungry, feel run down, etc.  All I drink is water and a cup of coffee each day.  (and sometimes booze).  But the main liquid of choice is water.

  • I drink at least 12 a day, more if I run that day. I have my work water bottle that sits on my desk and I have trained myself to constantly drink. I used to be terrible about water, but now I can't get enough.
  • Some days I drink more than others.  At work I am just too busy to sit and drink.  I have a water bottle that I make sure I drink at least one fill (24oz).  Its also hard because I can only go to the bathroom when someone can cover my room, so I try not to drink too much water during the day.

I should add that all I drink is water, milk, and sometimes some water mixed with a spritz of juice.

  • I drink 2+ liters a day. If I drink less or anything else, my kidneys hate me for a few days :( I honestly miss Dr. Pepper 'cause I haven't had one since May 2009...
